Roar.

Happy 30th Birthday to

Ms Gisele Bundchen

It's safe to say she is iconic in my eyes as a true Supermodel growing up. She was one of the first (if not first) models to make such a prolific and striking impression that will never fade.

The Brazilian stunner stars in Roberto Cavalli’s fall campaign which celebrates the brand’s 40th anniversary.

In true Cavalli fashion, there is no shortage of fur, animal print and rich ethnic embellishment - which has been common place amongst the ‘royal’ trend (medieval stitching and adorning imperial fabrics) we've been seeing alot of for fall 2010

Calamity

Fear

Has it ever occurred to you that 2012 could actually, maybe, possibly be the end of the world?

I’m not saying that I believe that this is the case. I’m not going to start talking about all the ‘tell-tale signs’ and link this post to what Nostradamus said, nor am I going to go on a tangent and speak of the astronomical alignments or formulae of any sort.

I am merely suggesting that sometimes, the thought of the end of eternity scares me.

Catastrophes have stuck around the world, more frequent than ever in recent years.

…. & has reminded me of an editorial piece by David LaChapelle which he did 5 years ago

'The Disaster Series'
By David LaChapelle
for Vogue Italia 2005

I wouldn’t go as far as saying LaChapelle trying to raise awareness with this editorial piece – but it’s gotten at the very least, one person, thinking of such matters. ... & inspire me at the same time.

Job well done then I say?

The Great Messenger of the Gods.

Hermés.

I grew up surrounded by it.

My parents are livid loyal supporters. That iconic ‘Hermés Orange’, gracefully poised noble steed, the finest silk, buttery cashmere, that whiff of baby calf leather. Yes. Call me spoilt. Doesn’t change the fact that Hermés is the epitome of luxury. Crème de la crème of the elite.

Feast your eyes on their newest campaign ladies and gentlemen.

F/W 2010

My eye is obviously on that midnight black Kelly.
D-I-E

Am still counting down the days before I receive my first Birkin for my 21st birthday. ... Anyone who wants to make my life complete, feel free to step in.

En Noir Et Blanc

Versace
F/W 2010 Preview

Black and white photographs just naturally attract me. It's something I simply cannot explain. It's the perfect ratio & balance, easy on the eyes yet so stark and blatant - the electrifying juxtaposition.

... Hence my need to post these photos.

Since the S/S collection, Versace has actually caught my eye. I believe she is one designer that grabs the essence of youth and executes her personal touch of 'FLASH' (almost pop art mixed with rock, dusted with gun powder) and finishes it off with a cut that flatters and elongates.

This season, is more demure, adult and sophisticated, as most F/W collections are. They hold a Celine edge, with a bit of a rocker edge... Burberry almost.
